  • Fair Value second company in the RX REIT Index and in the RX REIT All Share Index

Munich, December 19, 2007 – Just a few days after Fair Value REIT-AG's successful registration in the commercial register, as of today the Munich-based real estate company is also listed in Deutsche Börse's REITs segment. This means that Fair Value REIT-AG – a company focusing on buying and managing top quality commercial properties in the offices, logistics and retail sectors – is the second company in the recently launched RX REIT Index and the RX REIT All Share Index. In addition to investing directly in real estate, Fair Value offers investors in closed-end real estate funds in Germany the opportunity of swapping their interests for shares of Fair Value (so-called Up-REIT).

Frank Schaich, Fair Value REIT-AG's CEO, is proud that his company is included in these indices: "We are one of the first real estate investment trusts (REIT) on the German capital market and believe that our inclusion in this index will boost investors' attention. We are able to position our company on the real estate market at an early stage, and offer sellers exit tax benefits. In addition, our investors benefit from the exemption from trade and corporation tax, which means that our top-quality company will be able to generate attractive returns in future.”

Deutsche Börse AG has underscored the importance of the new asset class in Germany with its two REIT indices. The RX REIT All Share Index includes all German and foreign REITs that are listed in the Prime Standard and General Standard. The RX REIT Index includes the 20 largest and most liquid REITs in the Prime Standard, which now also encompasses Fair Value REIT-AG. Rainer Riess, Managing Director Cash Market Development at Deutsche Börse AG: "We are pleased to welcome Fair Value REIT-AG to our REITs segment. Institutional investors do not regard real estate investment trusts as being equities, but rather as real estate investments. This shows the quality and diversified risk that REITS offer, and opens up a new, highly attractive investment opportunity for investors."
